I'm running 3200 sticks and when I stick 2400 in there I can tell it's slowed down. If you multitask I'd definitely go higher. If all you do is primarily single tasking, then 2400/2666 is fine. I'm not sure if this document is just wrong at some lines or my understending is bad. I'm just really not sure because this document is kinda confusing to me and at some parts there are even duplicated ram lines with different specs. Is it really impossible? I've checked other z170 mobos and the they aren't significantly better in this question. (I will use the Pc as a vsti audio and graphic workstation)īut in this list I can't see any possible way to install RAM like this on a higher clock frequency than the normal 2133. but I'm sure that after 4-5 years I will increase this number. (2x(GB) Because I'm not sure that I will use more than this. I'd like to install only 16GB at this moment using only one RAM pair. this motherboard doesn't support 128GB as I know but and it has only 4 dimms! How could we put 8 into it then? :/ My problem that it's just generally confusing to me. I've checked the official mobo specifications here: I'd like to reach 32Gb RAM with the highest possible clock. I'm building a new Pc config with the mentioned ASUS z170-K mobo.
